James A. Cox, 74, of Heth passed away in Marion on Monday, March 28, 2016.
He was born on March 8, 1942 in Zint, Arkansas to his parents, John Howard Cox and Mary Louis Clifton.
He was a member of Shell Lake Baptist Church and a member of the National Guard for 6 years.
He was first and foremost a hardworking man who loved the Lord. He also loved his Linda (wife). Each child was very special to him and his grandchildren brought so much love and joy to his life. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Cox; two sons, James Paul Cox and Ray B. Rose both of Heth; two daughters, Carol Ann Appleby of Jonesboro and Donna Jean Rose of Heth; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara (Marion) Meiers; brothers, Raymond (Katheryn) Cox, William H. Cox and Paul (Ida) Cox. He is also survived by several special nieces, nephews, and friends.
The visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. The service will be on Friday, April 1st at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Crittenden Memorial Park.

Jacqueline Diane “Sissy” Marter
Jacqueline Diane “Sissy” Marter, 51, of Judsonia met her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 28, 2016. She was born on May 25, 1964 to Jack and Nell Smith.
Sissy is survived by her husband of 16 years, Lester Marter of Judsonia; a son, Jimmy Sawtelle (Jana) of Judsonia; a daughter, Nikki Middleton (Tommy) of Beebe; two step-sons, Wes Marter (Jamie) of Searcy and Ernie Marter (Leah) of Searcy; 11 grandchildren, Molly Ivy, Drake Ivy, Preston Shourd, Harley Sawtelle, Coleman Marter, Nicholas Herrin, Ella Marter, KJ Herrin, Kate Marter, Remington Marter, and Greyson Marter; a brother, Keith Smith of Marion; and her grandmother, Faye Upton of Turrell. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sissy worked at Wal-Mart Distribution Center 6003 and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy. She was a loving wife, mother, and nana. She will be deeply missed from our presence, but we are rejoicing that she is with the Lord.
Visitation will be on Thursday, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Roller Citizens Funeral Home. Services will follow at 2 p.m. with interment after the service at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion.

Daniel L. Newton, Sr.
Daniel L. Newton, Sr., 67, of Piggott passed away Monday, March 28, 2016, at his home.
He was born on April 6, 1948, in Memphis, Tennessee, and was the son of the late Don Roy and Pearl Jean Hathaway Newton.
He leaves behind his wife, Kay Newton; sister, Joyce Bailey and husband Bruce of Cuba, Missouri; brother, Larry Newton of Georgetown, South Carolina; beloved Shih Tzu, Tojo; nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and friends.
Dan was retired as a mechanic for FedEx. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Piggott, and was an active member of the Lions Club of Piggott.
Amemorial service will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016, at 2 p.m. at the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Andy Newbill officiating. Burial will be held at a later date at Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion. A visitation will be held Wednesday from 1 p.m. until service time.
Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church in Piggott, Arkansas.
