• Crittenden County Landlords Association Meeting – Thursday, March 17, at 6:30 p.m. in the Holiday Plaza Party Room. Guest will be State Rep. Milton Nicks and Landlord Lobbyist Brent Stevenson.

– The West Memphis Area Alumnae Chapter (WMAAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is collaborating with Conscious Minds Entertainment who is sponsoring a water collection drive to help support the Flint Michigan Water Crisis Thursday, March 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Good Lyfe, 1014 E. Broadway, West Memphis.

• Earle School District Spring Title 1 Meeting – Thursday, March 17 at 6 p.m. in the parent center, 1401 Third St., Earle. Inviting all parents, guardians and stakeholders of the district.

• Steudlein Learning Center 4th Annual Fish Fry – Friday, March 18, 5 to 7 p.m. Drive-Thru Only. 1600 Avondale Circle, West Memphis. $12 includes fish, French fries, hushpuppies, slaw and homemade dessert. • Annual Robert Stewart Easter Egg Hunt – Saturday, March 19 at the Crittenden County Girls and Boys Club, Worthington Park, West Memphis. For all children ages 1 to 10 years old. Anyone wishing to participate in this years hunt, contact Pam Coulter at the Evening Times, 870-735-1010.

• Regenerating Earle Through Empowerment Projects Meeting – Saturday, March 19 at 10 a.m. at Dollye H. Jones Administration Building, 1401 Third St., Earle. This meeting will provide information to eligible applicants concerning Housing Preservation Programs to benefit low income rural residents.

• Woolfolk Public Library Annual Easter Party – Saturday, March 19 from 10 until 11:30 a.m. at the library at 100 N. Currie St., Marion. Games, crafts and an Easter egg hunt for children of all ages. • Arkansas State University Degree Center – Offering admission, advising, and scholarship information/assistance for students interested in attending Arkansas State University-Jonesboro on the ASU Mid-South campus. Students can major in Criminology, Business, Nursing, or Education and live locally. West Memphis Metropolitan Planning Organization – Is soliciting public comments concerning the upcoming FY 2017 Unified Planning Work Program. Crittenden County Democratic Party Central Committee – County Convention will be Monday, March 28 at 6 p.m. at Arkansas State University-Mid South, room 104 in West Memphis. The main purpose the County Convention is electing three members to serve as our representatives on the State Committee. New State Committee members will take office beginning in August and will serve for a term of two years. This convention will also serves as our regular March meeting.

Marion School District Patriot Pride 5K – The annual “Investing in the Future” Patriot Pride 5K is set for Saturday, April 2 at Marion Junior High School arena parking lot at 9 a.m. The event is a fundraiser for scholarships for MHS Teachers of Tomorrow and Health Occupations Students of America. • The Church Nurse – Hosting weekly healthy lifestyle support group discussing digestive health, heart health, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and stroke prevention, every Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at 208 Shoppingway Blvd. Suite E (next to H& R Block).

• Holy Cross Episcopal Day School Reunion – Saturday, April 9 and Sunday April 10 The reunion will include a tour of Holy Cross Church and the former school grounds located at 209 Park Drive on Saturday followed by dinner and dancing that night at Meadowbrook Country Club, located at 1250 West Broadway in West Memphis. On Sunday morning at 9 a.m. all are invited to celebrate the Holy Eucharist at Holy Cross Episcopal Church. The fee is $50 per person which includes a donation to the Holy Cross Episcopal Church. • DHS Division of Aging and Adult Services Seeking Delegates – Seeking Arkansans who are at least 60 years old to volunteer to serve as delegates on the 20th Biennial Silver Haired Legislative Session taking place on Aug. 17-18. County candidates need to circulate qualifying petitions and submit them to the Agency by April 15.

• Water Use Reporting For 2015 – The Crittenden Conservation District is now registering irrigation wells for usage on farms for 2015. As a registered water user you are protecting your rights to the use of an equitable amount of surface water in times of shortage and to establish ground water rights within critical areas. Act of 154 of 1991 requires users of ground and surface water be assessed an annual fee in the amount of $10 per well and relift site. Act 408 of 1989 provides for the collection of a late registration penalty. Any person who fails to register a well or relift site by the deadline shall be subject to a penalty for each year they fail to register. April 1 is $25 late fee.
