Crittenden County Retired Teachers Association Meeting – Thursday, March 10 at 1 p.m. at the Marion School District Office at 200 Manor in Marion. ARTA President, Dr. Ella Walker-Rolfe will present the program. The New Officers' Nominating Committee will present the slate of officers nominated to serve for the next two years. Nominations may also be made from the floor. All CCRTA members are encouraged to attend this important meeting.

• First Annual Ascent Community Fair – FREE Saturday, March 12 from 12 to 4 p.m. located at New Hope Baptist Church in Lakeshore Estates, 377 Estates Drive, Marion. Bring the whole family for food, music, Bouncy House, cotton candy, face painting and more.

• DHS Division of Aging and Adult Services Seeking Delegates – Seeking Arkansans who are at least 60 years old to volunteer to serve as delegates on the 20th Biennial Silver Haired Legislative Session taking place on Aug. 17-18. Anyone interested in becoming a delegate should contact East Arkansas Area Agency on Aging at 870-930-2202. County candidates need to circulate qualifying petitions and submit them to the Agency by April 15.

• Water Collection Drive – The West Memphis Area Alumnae Chapter (WMAAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. is collaborating with Conscious Minds Entertainment who is sponsoring a water collection drive to help support the Flint Michigan Water Crisis Thursday, March 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Good Lyfe, 1014 E. Broadway, West Memphis.

• Woolfolk Public Library Annual Easter Party – Saturday, March 19 from 10 until 11:30 a.m. at the library at 100 N. Currie St., Marion. Games, crafts and an Easter egg hunt for children of all ages.
