Congratulations to Robert and Michelle Pouncey, they were married on Saturday, Feb. 27 at the Hughes United Methodist Church. They had an informal ceremony and the wedding party consisted of their children, Dylan and Eva Pouncey, Grant and Garrett Suttles. The reception followed at the Pouncey’s home, at Blue Lake.

Curtis and Holly Bacon of Horseshoe Lake are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amber Bacon of Marion, to Josh Revord, of Olive Branch, Mississippi. Josh proposed to her on Feb. 29. No date as been set as of yet.

The new truck for the Horseshoe Lake Volunteer Fire Department, through a FEMA Grant, is in it’s final stages of completion in Memphis. They hope to have their new truck here within the next two weeks.

Entergy

Entergy is about to complete their work on Highway 147 between Blue Lake and Bonds Grocery. Weather permitting they should be through in the next three to four weeks. Then the state can begin work on widening the Highway.
