Earle tromps KIPP Delta in 1st round of state
Sports Editor The Earle Bulldogs dropped KIPP Delta 72-41 yesterday in the opening round of the Class 2A state tournament in Marmaduke. It was Earle’s second win against KIPP Delta this season, the first coming in November.
Earle will now play the winner of the Strong-Bigelow game on Thursday at 8:30 p.m. in a state quarterfinal game.
Strong and Bigelow will play tonight at 5:30 p.m.
If Earle were to win that game, then they would advance to the state semifinals for the second straight year. That game would be played on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
All games played before the final will be held at Marmaduke High School.
If Earle should advance to the state title game, that would be played in Hot Springs at the Bank of the Ozarks Arena.
