Times launches new online look

Expanded coverage, features highlight revamped web site

ralphhardin@gmail.com The Evening Times is getting with the times, via a newly-remodeled web site.

It’s still the same address, www.theeveningtimes.com, but visiting the site beginning March 1 will give readers a whole new experience.

The goal with the online update is to help our readers have a more enjoyable experience when checking out the Times electronically. The stories will be categorized, clickable and easier to read. There will also be links to related information, advertisers and expanded coverage. The site will also feature an easier- to-navigate “e-edition” a straight-up digital copy of the daily paper that can be read in a variety of formats, fully compatible with virtually all desktop PC, laptop, tablet and smart-phone interfaces, putting the Times right at our readers’ fingertips. There’s even a downloadable app available in the Apple Store and through Google Play.

As part of this effort, the Times will be offering exclusive online features, including photo galleries, videos, clickable advertising and more. The site will also give readers better ability to share stories, sent feedback to the paper and keep tabs on what is happening in the Crittenden County Community.

Subscribers who already take the newspaper print edition can have full access to the online edition for free. They will need to call the office (870) 735-1010 and receive a user name and password. Customers who prefer to exclusively subscribe to the online edition can register on the web site, call the office, or stop by 1010 Hwy. 77, in Marion,

to sign up.
