James C. “Jimbo” Hale, Jr.

James C. Hale, Jr., 78 of Proctor died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. Mr. Hale was an attorney and a Crittenden County Prosecuting Attorney for 45 years. He is survived by one son, James C. Hale, III and Betty Hale, of Marion; and one grandson, James C. “Bo” Hale, IV. He leaves one sister, Jeannie Martz; his sister- in-law, Connie Hale; and three nephews, Matthew Hale, Jay Hale, and Christopher Crain, all of Marion; and one niece, Laura Otto, of McKinney, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Cecil Hale and Jean Robinson Hale; and one brother, Ralph “Rob” Robinson Hale; and one nephew, Ralph Robinson Hale, Jr., all of Marion. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016, at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home located at 201 North Pine Street, West Memphis, Arkansas. Church services will be conducted on Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at 10 a.m. at the Marion United Methodist Church, 81 Military Road, in Marion, Arkansas. Service Saturday at 1 p.m. at Beautiful Zion Missionary Baptist Church., 420 S. 15th St., West Memphis, with burial in Paradise Garden Cemetery. E. H. Ford Mortuary in charge of arrangements. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Joe L. Harris; three daughters, Tonnette Harris, Cassandra Harris and Ruby D. Butler; three sons, Elestley Harris, Kendrick Harris and Brandon Brownlow; five sisters, Lillie Thomas, Mary McCoy Thomas, Patricia McCoy, Sharon McCoy and Barbara McCoy Johnson; five brothers, Calvin Brownlow Sr., Oscar McCoy Jr., David McCoy, Wesley McCoy and Curtis McCoy; and 10 grandchildren. Virbdine Martin, 77, of Anthonyville, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016, at Broadway Healthcare. Services Saturday, Feb. 27, 11 a.m. in Anthonyville M. B. She is survived by a niece who cared for her, Alice Taylor (Tommy) of Anthonyville.

Agnes Catherine Coleman Medlin

Agnes Catherine Coleman Medlin, 89, of Jackson, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016. She was born in Boyle, Mississippi on March 7, 1926 to Jess Reuben Coleman and Myrtle Adams. She was also a member of Wilson First Baptist Church. She is survived by her son, Tom Medlin (Kathy) of Collierville, Tennessee; her daughter, Glenda Medlin Burrows (Perry) of Jackson, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Chris Medlin (Shawna), Meghan Medlin, Angela Neely (Paul) and Michael Eubanks; two great-grandchildren, Morgan Neely and Lauren Neely; and a sister, Ruth Halajian. She is preceded in death by: her husband, Clarence Medlin; her parents; a granddaughter, Jessica Medlin; two brothers, Jess Coleman, Jr. and Lawrence Coleman; and a sister, Mildred Lovett. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Wilson First Baptist Church, Attn: Handbell Ministries, 1 Jackson St, Wilson, AR 72395. Charlotte Verdell Davis Parnell, age 57, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at her home in Brownsville, Tennessee. Funeral Services will be conducted Friday, Feb, 26, at 11 a.m. in the Lea and Simmons Funeral Homein Brownsville, Tennessee. Graveside Services will be at 2 p.m. in Crittenden Memorial Park in Marion. She was preceded in death by her father, George Verdell Davis. She is survived by her mother, Lottie May Manley Davis; three sisters, Linda G. Forrester, Patsy Stafford and Sharon Broughton all of Brownsville, Tennessee.
