County Coroner seeks fifth term

Hello Crittenden County!

I am William L. Wolfe, your current county coroner.

For those of you who do not know me, I have served our county in this capacity for the last 8 years (4 terms). I initially ran for the position because of my compassion for people as well as the desire to be more than just a citizen. I wanted to be an intricate part of our community and being your Coroner is something that makes me proud as I take the job very seriously. When I was first elected, it was important to me to be inclusive and diverse and help our community to become more inclusive and diverse. That is why I extended deputy coroner offers to all funeral home personnel throughout Crittenden County. As a result, Nemi Matthews from WH Johnson graciously accepted and still today handles the areas of Earle and Crawfordsville. Additionally, there is Greg Shea and Billy and Sherri Thomen who handle the enclaves of Horseshoe Lake and Anthonyville.

My background includes being a 22-year Retired Lt.

Col. with the U.S. Army.

As an Officer, I encountered numerous situations that required solid decision making skills regarding people who ultimately carried out the business of our county. I am also Skilled Certified by the Arkansas State Crime Lab; I currently serve on the Advisory Board for First Community Bank; I was also appointed to the Arkansas Minority Business Advisory Board by former Governor Mike Huckabee; I was appointed to the West Memphis Airport Authority Board by West Memphis City Council where I served for seven years, and I am a Retired High School Teacher from the Memphis City School System. My educational background includes a Bachelors of Arts degree in Political Science and a Masters of Arts degree in Personnel Management. I currently co-own with my brother, Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home, Inc. in West Memphis where we have been in business since 1995; continuing to serve the total community and the Mid-South with compassion, dignity and care.

During my tenure as Coroner, I have had the opportunity to meet many families as well as establish many friendships and I look forward to furthering that timely, caring and compassionate service to the citizens of Crittenden County. I am asking that you continue to vote WOLFE as your choice for this very important office so that I can continue to dedicate my service to you in matters that are important to you.

Respectfully, William “Bill” Wolfe, Crittenden County Coroner
