Whom ever it was defending Woody Wheeless. Lets think for a moment. If Lorenzo Parker – a first year law student- and court member, voted against that AMERIS SCAM, How could woody and his paid advisors miss all of those red flags? But on the other hand the Earle police departments cruiser (that otis davis drove also) breaks down, it’s over the fold “BREAKING NEWS” Now they need a new police radio. Is this REAL news, or biased politics? I think your reader would be BETTER served if you would devote more ink to the deplorable state of streets and service roads, in and around West Memphis.

\ M5l\ Q[Editor’sNote: Working backwards through your text (which is apparently how I’m handling this today), we have run numerous stories about the streets of West Memphis and efforts to improve them, including last week’s story on 11th Street road and drainage projects. Also, sen’ice roads are state-maintained. And I am sure that there are plenty of readers who are sick of the never-ending Earle Mayor saga, it’s important to continue reportingwhat’sgoingon there, lest it go completely unchecked, and with the hope that it results in changes for the better in that community’. At this point, I have to ask, what exactly is your point about Judge Wheeless? Wheeless never waveredfrom “this isn’t the best deal, but it’s the only deal” on the Amerisproposal It was Ameris’ attempts to manipulate the agreement, not any fault of the county, that doomed thatproposal. And it is that same slate of elected officials that have worked to make the Baptist deal a reality. So, with all of that in mind, again, I ask: What exactly would you like to see happen now? Do we need to run Woody out of town on a rail? Do we need to stop reporting on Earle and let

hhate\> er s going on there happen with no informing of the public? I’d really like to hear yourplan] Crittenden county judge Wheeless is attempting to exercise his executive power over county property to place inmates from the Southeast Arkansas Community Correction Facility-Females in Crittenden Memorial Hospital.

A private meeting was held Tuesday night Febuary 16th 2016 with Mr. Wheeless, state senator Keith Ingram, and area doctors to discuss the matter.

No information has been released to the public. [Editor’s Note: That’s some pretty fancy temunology right there… “attempting to exercise his executive power over count}> property” sounds pretty foreboding. You could also say Judge Wheeless is “negotiating with a state agency on a deal to utilize an otherwise unoccupied county property, as is his job ” and not make it sound like there’s some sort oj covert affair afoot. “A private meeting ” could also be simply “a meeting, ” othenvise, I haa a private meeting with some oj the guys from work at Margarita s yesterday for lunch. “No information has been released to the public’’ sounds kind of ominous, but the wheels of progress turn at a slightly slower speed than the Facebook rumor mill, but Friday’s paper featured a full front-page story on the issue, so hopefully the tin-foil hat types can relax now that the “conspiracy ” has been exposed]
