Connie Smith was honored with a baby shower held at the First Assembly of God church Jan. 16.

Co-hosts were Tracy Buford, Sandy Holloway and Crystal Holloway.

The refreshment table was covered with a pastel cloth. Guests enjoyed chicken salad, dips, chips, meat balls, punch and cake decorated with the name Jordyn Nichols.

The group played several games.

Among those attending were Laurie Adams, Ashley Cox, Debbie Love, Tabitha Newingham, Krista Adams, Tammy Soto, Amy Soto, Terry Neiswonger, Kelly Furdey, Harmony Furdey, Symphony Furdey, Linda Jo Branch, Jayson and Jeremy Smith and Alicia Martinez.

*** The 5th Sunday night Hymn Sing will be held at the Earle Baptist Church Jan. 31 at 5 p.m.

Everyone is invited to attend.

*** The Canasta Club met at the home of Mary Jane Edwards recently.

Brenda Shempert won high score, Debbie Franks won second, Kaye Lehman won low and Lou Burns won bingo.

Others presents were Terre Rodgers, Kim Fraley, Bobbie Estes and Judy Tacker Sharp. *** Five generations of family members gathered at a holiday dinner held at the home of Terre and Bobby Rodgers recently.

*** The 39ers of the Earle Baptist Church enjoyed having dinner at Mid-Way Cafe in Tyronza Jan. 15.

Included were Charlene and Elbert Person, Rev. Bill Watt, Christine Littlejohn, Doug Manchester, Tanya Pate, Janis Lancaster, Ken Lancaster, Frankie Swindle, Sue Ann Elms, Vickey and Rev. Tony Wells, chairman of the group.

*** Lighted Pathways Church members will have a chilisoup luncheon and silent auction at the church Saturday, Feb. 6 beginning at 12 noon.

Tickets are $7 each and everyone is invited to attend.

Rev. Frances Gamble is church pastor.

*** Doris Gately spent 12 days in Clinton in the home of her sister Donna Moore. She returned home Jan. 13.
